Powerful Performance at GUINNESS THE MATCH

A musical concert featuring Tuface Idibia was not the primary reason for the large crowd of spectators at the Abuja Stadium on 1st June, nevertheless it was his sonorous voice and powerful performance reinforced by Meyer Sound speakers, that got the audience erupting in delight during the Nigeria versus Argentina friendly organized by Guinness Nigeria Plc.

GQA thrills patrons at Lagos Boat Club

Top American R&B artiste JOE, thrilled a full-capacity audience at The Lagos Motor Boat Club end of year party held at its Awolowo Road, Ikoyi venue. The event was attended by special guests and club members who included captains of industry, officers of the armed forces, diplomats and top executives - all decision makers from diverse spheres in Nigeria. Joseph Lewis Thomas, simply known as JOE was the main act while GQ Acoustics was of course the sound production company.

GQA Staff Training in Germany

In our quest to consistently equip and maintain a high profile technical crew, GQA sent out a team of six sound engineers to Montabaur, Germany in April on a training seminar to update and expand their knowledge on various aspects of sound application. The team also visited the Pro-Sound+ Light International Exhibition that held at Frankfurt, thereby exploring the newest dimensions in the industry’s growth. While at the state-of-the-art Meyer Sound European Tech Support and Training facility, GQA engineers attended a seminar on Sound System Design and MAPP Online.

GQA Ignites 10th Star Mega Jam

The 10th edition of the Star Mega Jam which held on 17th December, 2010 had the honour of hosting the Grammy award winner, R Kelly. The show also featured several Nigerian acts such as P Square, M1, 9ice, Kaffi, DJ Humility and more. The event which rocked the city of Lagos and its environs was held as usual at the popular Lagos Polo Grounds, Ikoyi-Lagos.

The 2011 Lagos International Polo Tournament final weekend of 2nd - 6th March was graced by top officials of MTN, Management Committee members of Lagos Polo Club, corporate big wigs and the media.GQ Acoustics supplied the always-sought-after Meyer Sound Self-Powered Loudspeakers that were in use at the glamorous event. Thanks to the Meyer Sound Galileo Loudspeaker Management System used for the signal distribution.

GQA Staff Training at Berkeley, California

The quality of an audio engineer is usually measured by the knowledge, skills and experience displayed at every given performance. It is therefore not surprising that the core reason why GQ Acoustics engineers stand out among others is the amount of professional training they are continually exposed to. It happened again this year when a contingent of sound engineers left the shores of Africa from Lagos, to Meyer Sound Laboratories, Berkeley, California for another round of knowledge acquisition.
